Artist's Profile
Born in County Mayo, Bernie studied fine art at the RTC Galway and PTA. at Limerick College of Art and Design during the early 80’s. Up to recently she combined her private art-work with work as a secondary school art teacher as well as being the mother to two young girls. She has recently embarked on a career break to concentrate on her art career.
She works predominately in charcoals, mixing drawings of wrinkled old men with beautiful young women but also has many works in pencil and water-colours.

Bernie has also illustrated Christmas cards for CARE and Glor na nGeal and her illustrations have also featured on several music CD’s including “Between the Showers” - Irish Harp Music by Grainne Hambly and “Harvest Line” (USA).
Prints of her work are currently available through "Harvest Pictorial" in outlets such as Kilkenny Design Centres and in Dublin and Shannon Airports.
